RHD(745del13) [RHD(745delGTGGTGACAGCCA,758TC>AG)]
The sequence of the RHD exons was verified by sequencing. The cause of the DEL phenotype despite a normal coding sequence is unknown.
Suspiciously, recently an allele with a deletion of RHD exon 10 has been described that would yield the described PCR pattern and explain the weakening of D antigen. Hence, this allele might be obsolete.
