Additional comments

This allele in unlikely to exist. Samples assigned to this allele most likely represented RHD(1227G>A)This allele was characterized by the absence of exon 9 in the cDNA, a negative PCR for RHD exon 9, and a genomic deletion encompassing exon 9 characterized after long-range PCR and has been reported to underly the majority of Del phenotypes in Taiwanese. It has been shown to be identical to RHD(1227G>A).
